Art Wonderment *

Joana is an art curator, writer, artistic director and podcaster. Her multi-faceted profile mirrors the pleasure she finds in the connection between physical and digital spaces, experience and expression, which she calls art wonderment. A place where old habits and new technologies mutually regulate: reading aloud, writing, recording and editing.

Joana is also a firm believer in creating what you long for, but can’t find around you, so she co-launched and co-directs Worlding, an art and residency space in London in 2020. She is the creator and host of the award winning podcast Exhibitionistas–Notes on Contemporary Art and Life (2024) and you can find her writing in her publication, Art Thinkosaurus.

* Podcast *

An AWARD WINNING PODCAST, Exhibitionistas was born to expand the experience of art into wider spaces of conversation.

Prompted by a question, each episode wanders through books, exhibitions and feelings to talk about visual arts. It always follows surprising a path onto an urgent topic, a unique exhibition, a fantastic book, or an artist studio.

"Brainstorm in a Teacup" closes the episode, with Joana reading notes plucked out of her old notebooks, which she has described as "too interesting to miss out on, but too weird for an episode".
